Watching videos on the internet with intimidating captions makes those videos even more engaging, right?
But when you try to add captions to your videos, you have no idea how to do that.
Adding Subtitles or Captions to any video is always a pain in A**, right?
Even if you figure out something, it’s also all paid services; nothing seems to be free. Right ?
Hear me out, i am telling you the easiest way to add subtitles to your videos, and this one is totally free, 100%.
Method 1 (add captions to video)
Using app.clipchamp.com Website
Step 1:
Open the Website : Clipchamp.com
Step 2:
Sign-up and log in to your account, you will see the screen below.
Step 3:
Click on “Create a new Video” then below screen will appear
Step 4:
Drag or import your video file to the left space screen,
Step 4:
Drag them to the timeline.
Step 5:
And then click on the Captions icon on the top right side.
Step 6:
Click on “Transcribe Media”.
Step 7:
Hurray ! Here you go, with your captions. you can edit them as per your requirements.
and then very important step will be left.
“To export them.”
I personally use a hack, which is,
- to use the green screen behind the captions generated,
- and export the file,
- then bring it to Adobe Premire pro or any editing app,
- and remove the green screen with chroma key effects.
- and here you go, with your video ready with captions.
Method 2 (Use captions app)
Steps:
- go to “google play store” or “apple app Store.”
- download “captions app”.
- It’s a paid app if you want to export the video with captions generated from there.
- but here’s the trick,
- generate the captions on video, then
- do screen recording. (haha)
- then edit that video either in Premiere Pro or any editing software (by editing, i mean, just crop the video)
- and here you go, with your video with captions.
